Where can I find a used caravan price guide?

www.caravanpriceguide.com, the only other thing, I currently know of that you can do, if you are a Caravan Club member, is to ring Glasses guide they will charge you for this though with your credit card, you will need your Caravan Club membership number. Cost is about £5.95 plus the cost of the call 0870 241 0681 Mon-Fri 9-5.30

The other way to give you a guide is to look at caravan dealers to see if they have a similar one For Sale you can find some at Dealers pages

I've got condensation in between the layers of my plastic double glazed windows, how can I remove it?

The way to remove condensation from windows is to first remove the little plastic plugs that you will find somewhere on the window usually at the top or hidden just behind the window catches, usually it's enough just to remove the plugs in direct sunlight and let the sun dry it out. If that doesn't work then use a hair drier to blow into the holes and gently over the damp area of the window, on a warm setting, not hot as this could damage the window. Replace the plugs when dry. If the problem persists you will have to reseal the joint between the plastic layers of the window

My windows keep sticking to the rubber surround, what can I do?

Clean the window and the rubber, then when dry use talcum powder or French chalk on the rubber and this will prevent it from sticking. Do not use Vaseline, sunflower or olive oil as it is petroleum based and can degrade plastic and make rubber porous.

I've heard that Butane gas freezes so do I need to use propane?

You are right about Butane freezing this can also happen on a frosty night, especially if the bottle is getting low (I know it has happened to me), even if it is in a gas locker box, I prefer the connection on the 7kg butane as it is a quick fit 'click on', 'lift off' regulator. One solution which works for some people (me included) is to have both types just using propane when the weather is getting colder, that said many people I know use propane all year round, caravanning most weekends though the year, they say it is easier than worrying about changing, also claiming that the flame is better and cleaner, they mainly use the newish 6kg size bottles, or even the larger 13kg size which works out much cheaper than using the smaller 'dumpy' 3.9kg size ones.

If you intend to use the vehicle a lot in the winter months I would go with propane.

I have not heard of any major problems getting the cylinders exchanged at the usual caravan/ motorcaravan dealers and petrol stations etc. assuming that we are talking about Calor gas. www.calorgas.co.uk

I've got green mould in the lockers of my caravan after storing it for the winter, what caused it and how can i stop it?

It sound like there could be a couple of explanations for the green mould that you found in your caravan. The first is that there was excessive moisture in the caravan due to a damp winter this would be made worse if the caravan was stored on grass rather than hard standing. You will probably find that moisture crystals will be more efficient than using salt especially when used in a holder which catch moisture in a container below. The other explanation would be that your caravan has started to let water in along some of the seams. I would recommend that you purchase a damp meter and check the walls.
if you find damp get dealer or service centre to double check and reseal your caravan as soon as possible. Damp testing is usually carried out as part of the annual recommended service for your caravan or can be specified as an addition to a more basic service

How do I know what size awning I need for my Caravan?

To find the correct size for your caravan, measure ground to ground from a point vertically below the awning channel at one end, around the periphery, to a point vertically below the awning channel at the other end. The caravan should be on level ground when obtaining measurement.

For More information on awning sizes see the Bradcot Awnings website
